This show represented the 25th anniversary of shows at the Kitsap property. It also represented a mile stone in that long time director Lois Sandall stepped down to be replaced by Lucille Fuller.

The Mountaineer annual contained a brief recap of the Kitsap shows and more details on the production.

Two record-breaking audiences, over 2,500 people, walked down the trail to the Theatre to see A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court by John G. Fuller, based on Mark Twain’s novel. Lucille Fuller directed the production, the Forest Theatre’s 25th Spring Play.

The play contrasts the life and thoughts of the half-mystical days of King Arthur with those of the age of modern miracles in which we live, as Hank, the Connecticut Yankee (Lloyd Mason), rides a motorcycle into King Arthur’s Court. As usual there was a great deal of fun as the Players brought this classic Mark Twain story to life.
