Experience the magic of theater under the trees and near the ferns at our outdoor camp for campers entering Grades 5th - 8th

Theater Camp logo for web siteExplore the world of theater at the inspiring and unique outdoor Kitsap ForestKatie Dreessen as Katherine in Newsies, 2019 Theater where actors have been creating magic since 1923. Escape the ordinary and create the extraordinary under the guidance of two incredible teaching artists (Katie Dreessen & Anna Vizzare). Participants will spend a week creating an original musical theatrical experience with music, choreography and more. Campers will also play a variety of theatre and improv games. 

Students will rehearse a musical theatre review featuring songs from a variety of Broadway shows. This will be an intensive and inspiring week of learning music and dance, so please sign-up if you are ready to grow while working hard, learning new skills, and striving to be the best you can be. You will learn the joys of the outdoor theater experience while developing teamwork, creative problem solving and confident performance skills. 

The camp ends Friday with a performance for family and friends, followed by an optional family dinner and family camp-out on the property, as well as a complimentary ticket to see Kitsap Forest Theater’s production of Seussical, the Musical on Saturday, featuring Katie and Anna in lead roles!

Registration opens on February 1, 2023 at 9am. Register early as camps fill to capacity.

Kitsap Forest Theater is located in Bremerton, 15 minutes from the Bremerton ferry dock, at 3000 Seabeck Highway, and is accessible to campers all around the Puget Sound area.

Camp Cost for the Week

Please note that when you register your child for camp you can choose to become a Mountaineers' member (see note below) and obtain the Mountaineers Member Tuition. If you are not a Mountaineers' member, you must sign-up for a guest membership to complete the waivers for your campers, but you will owe the non-Mountaineers member tuition.

Plan to enjoy a relaxing and fun mini-vacation for the whole family at the Kitsap Forest Theater. These Family Friday overnights or dinner only option are open to all families of campers. Take a hike to "Big Tree", sing around the campfire, and enjoy sumptuous meals. Get to know parents of other campers that your kids have met. Sign-ups for the dinner and overnight happen during the week of camp (there is a separate charge for the meals). Each camper will receive a comp ticket to a performance of Seussical, The Musical. Plan to stay overnight and attend the afternoon performance of the show. (tickets will be good for any remaining performance of Seussical).
