Seattle area adventure day camp at Kitsap Forest Theater ★ Summer fun ★ Unplug your kids

AdventureCampLogo

Note: Adventure Camp will be held in 2023 with some changes like in 2022, led by Julie Shusterman. We still are not able to offer Seattle Transportation because of the reduced ferry schedules. We understand how much the Seattle families appreciated the ferry travel, and how much the campers loved it. We are hoping parents will consider alternate ways of getting their campers to camp to experience the out-of-doors in a fun and safe manner: carpools, camping, VRBO, Airbnb, working remotely in the area, etc.

Seattle and Kitsap campers will delight in this outdoor summer program featuring art, singing, drama, play, hiking, exploring the forest, wildlife and creeks – and just plain fun. Our nature camps let young children play, explore and create at the beautiful Kitsap Forest Theater. If you are looking for outdoor summer activities for kids in the Puget Sound area, you have come to the right place!

Kitsap Forest Adventure Camps, where children's creativity and imagination bloom, are presented by The Mountaineers Players.

Registration opens on February 1, 2023 at 9am. Register early as camps fill to capacity. 2023 dates are:

Camp 1 (July 10 - 14) Citizen Scientist

Week 1: Have you ever wondered how a scientist finds out information from nature? Now you can find out how by doing it yourself! Come bring your sense of adventure to this magical place, where together we will notice, observe, document, and analyze the forest and the streams. We will experience first hand how the forest and the salmon stream depend on each other to thrive and have fun in the process!

Camp 2 (July 17 - 21) Forest Treasure

Week 2: Have you ever wanted to find out how to make a treasure map or to find buried treasure?  In this camp we will hone our seeking skills as we learn about coordinates, how to use a compass and find "buried" treasure!  We will then make a geocache treasure box to hide at the theater. Come join in the fun of finding buried treasure!
