Step into the enchanted world of Broadway’s modern classic, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, at the most magical of places – the Kitsap Forest Theater. This classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out.
Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, this version includes all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice and book by Linda Woolverton. The original Broadway production ran for over 13 years and was nominated for 9 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
Beauty and the Beast was last performed at KFT in 2008 and we are thrilled to bring this beloved show back to our theater. This “tale as old as time” is perfect for the entire family and we invite you to “Be Our Guest” for this heartwarming tale of true love and transformation, filled with unforgettable songs and thrilling pageantry.
