A riveting new murder mystery by Christopher M. Walsh, based on characters by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

What if Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson were women?

In this thrilling reimagining, Miss Holmes and Dr. Watson are brilliant, independent professionals navigating Victorian England — a world that neither values nor tolerates women of their ambition. Miss Holmes possesses one of the greatest deductive minds of her generation but chafes against the constraints society imposes upon her. Dr. Watson fights to make a difference at the only London hospital willing to hire female doctors. Together, these unconventional women dare to challenge the rigid boundaries of their era — to their peril.

Their latest case: a young wife whose husband, a high-ranking but corrupt Scotland Yard investigator, is suspected of murdering his previous two wives. Featuring many of the beloved characters from the Doyle canon, Miss Holmes is a compelling, wholly original story that remains absolutely true to the world Sir Arthur Conan Doyle created — while shining a bold new light on what it meant to be brilliant, brave, and female in Victorian England.
