Director Craig Schieber brought to life the little village of Anatevka, where Tevye, a poor dairyman, tries to instill in his five daughters the traditions of his tight-knit Jewish community in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia.
Stephen Wall got the opportunity to again show off his musical talent as Tevye. Steve is famous for his ealier role as Lion in the Wizard of Oz. Jenny Dressen ably matched Steve as his strong, but loving, wife Golde. Jenny was just seen as the Witch in Into the Woods the previous summer.
The rich score features songs loved the world over such as "Sunrise, Sunset," "If I Were A Rich Man," "Matchmaker," and, of course, "Tradition."
